I learned on a 35mm manual camera — developing my own film, processing it, and enlarging it myself in a dark room. With so few available shots on a manual, every one had to count. Even with today's technology spoiling us, I was taught to make sure every setting was correct before pressing the shutter. I believe that's made me a better photographer.

I credit my photography teacher, Ms. Barnett, for being such a wonderful guide to my passion and for seeing the potential to push my skills to their limits. As a high school student, my photography was displayed in the Norton Museum of Art in 2011 and 2013.

In college, I started my freelance photography service: Scarlett Images. I graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Central Florida, with a focus in photography, and I'm happy to say I now have 12+ years of experience following my talents and studies.

I love trying creative things in a fast-paced environment — adapting to any given situation and bringing out the beauty that's already there. During your session, I'll assist and direct you through posing and expression to get you (and anyone else with you) comfortable in front of the camera, so we can capture both posed shots and natural, candid moments on your special day.

As a woman, I understand the little details that matter most — a flyaway hair, a smudge of makeup, a bra strap peeking out, a wrinkled hem, jewelry sitting crooked. I keep an eye out for these things throughout your session, so you can relax and focus on enjoying the moment.
